Hardback Photo Book - Photographic Portfolio

Designed through the online print house Blurb, I am currently working on a hardback Photo Portfolio. I hope to complete this early in the Spring.

Now complete.

Galleries modified

I have had a major reshuffle of the images on the site, renaming all the galleries to make the finding of images that bit easier.

Digital - going, going, gone...

In early July 2007 I finally succumbed to the digital age and bought myself a Nikon D200. The move to digital has been a difficult transition as I love the film medium. Having said that, I am enjoying the immediate results of digital, and am busy experimenting with new techniques that have eluded me up until now; both flash and action photography are just some of the things I am working on at the moment. A new gallery will be added soon.

New images - Snakes-head fritillaries

I have been photographing these beautiful wildflowers for the past three years. Having succeeded in getting some great portraits, in 2006 I was keen to try and photograph wildlife amongst the fritillaries. On my first morning I was treated to the company of a cock pheasant. He strutted past my hide, then started displaying directly in front of me, giving me exactly the type of shots I had in mind. A few days later, a wary Roe deer ambled into the meadow. On high alert, I only managed one shot before he galloped off.

I intend to return the these wonderful meadows (Iffley, Duckington & Cricklade) in 2007 to build on my collection. I am particularly keen to capture insects visiting the flowers. Do check back in the spring to see my new work.
